The best coat I've ever owned! "I bought this coat in black a couple years ago just for personal use. I wore it for 1 winter when I used to work security and I was hooked. This is THE warmest coat I've ever owned, topping any professional skiing coat I've ever had. When I became a cop, I loved the coat so much that I convinced my Chief to let me dump my dumb nylon-ish issued duty coat and wear this. I showed it to him, and he liked it so much he bought them too. All the pockets are awesome, I keep all the gear I normally keep in my uniform shirt pockets in them, and still have room for basically an entire extra set of duty gear inside it if I so wanted.

The pull out panels are awesome too, I had them screen printed in subdued white/grey with my department's name. I put subdued grey american flags on the shoulders, and when I pull out the panels at work, it looks great. I just tuck the panels back in their pockets when I'm off duty and I have a regular coat with some flags on the shoulder.

The fact that you can separate the inner and outer layer and wear them separately is awesome too. The fleece is great for on and off-duty during the fall and spring, and the outer shell is great to have on those not-so-cold, but rainy or drizzly days.

I've had this coat for 3 years now and wear it pretty much everywhere when I have the chance and I've yet to have anything go wrong with it. My wife decided she would keep the 3-1 in the car at all time. Although it is almost a Raincoat for her since I bought XL size. It is less weight than the 5-1 I bought later on. Still if I don't have my 5-1 I have no problem wearing this one. Is extremely confortable, warm, not as HOT as 5-1 but it will defenetly keep you dry and warm. While the 5-1 will keep you dry and HOT. unless you offcourse take the liner out. So with my 3-1 and 5-1 I actually have like 8 ultra COOL jackets. Will not change Brand at all. Just like the the rest of my closet. 5.11"
